Following the success of their first sold out collaboration model (“Nebula”), Charles Berret and Micro Indy Collective have teamed up once again to present their second collaboration project – “AURORA”.
Nebula was sold out in 30 minutes after launch. As a natural successor to the popular Nebula, AURORA maintains the mother of pearl (MOP) dial theme but with an evolution in design, enhanced finishing to the case and comes in two different dial and movement variants.
Specifications
Customers will have the option to choose between Aurora White and/or Aurora Black.
Aurora White:
- Full white mother of pearl dial
- CNC Guilloche small seconds sub dial - CNC Guilloche centre
- Heat treated purple hand set - new design
- Eastern Arabic printed numerals
Aurora Black:
- Black mother of pearl dial with lacquer finish
- CNC Guilloche white MOP small seconds sub dial
- CNC Guilloche centre
- Mirror polished hand set - new design
- Eastern Arabic printed numerals
Customers will have the option to choose between two finishes – Gold plated and Silver plated.
Initials can be engraved on one of the bridges (engraving is done freehand – max 3 characters). Movement is based on the manually wound 6498 calibre. The main plate had to be recut to support the deep engraving.
Movement finishing includes:
- perlaged base plate
- freehand tremblage (with an engraving knife)
- freehand engraved bridges
- anglage – hand polished chamfers/bevelled edges
- snailing of the wheels
- blued screws or polished screws
- Gold or Silver plated
Case:
- 40mm 316L Stainless Steel case with polished and brushed satin finishes for some contrast
- Charles Berret x MIC engraved (acid etched) into the mid-case
- Onion/Pumpkin style crown (with a very satisfying wind and click when returned to closing position)
- 10mm thick case, rising to 12mm at the centre of the domed sapphire
- 48mm lug to lug
- 20mm lug width
Sapphire:
- Domed Sapphire
- 5 layers of AR - double sided
Straps
We have teamed up with Opto Straps for this collaboration.
Aurora Black comes with a green Saffiano leather strap; &
Aurora White comes with a purple Pueblo leathe strap.
-Taper from 20mm to 16mm
-Clasp will have polished and brushed finishing
-Standard length (120mm/70mm)
-Quick release system
NB- the Pueblo purple strap will not have the beige stitching as shown in the prototype piece and the buckle will be the same as the green one.

AURORA is limited to 60 pieces across the series (mix of white/ black - 60 pieces in total). They will not be individually numbered but will have bespoke personalised engravings if customers choose.
